The Dell West was the former name of the Mann Music Center, not far from the Tower. As far as I know the Tower has always been the Tower.

Can you tell I've been gone from the Philly area for 32 years?

I'll be at the Tower Thursday night for the String Cheese show - I'll be working at the Conscious Alliance booth giving away free concert poster art in exchange for 30 cans of food. All the food will go to a local food bank. We typically pull in between 4000-6000 pounds of food.

Go figure - a stoic old fiscal conservative Constitutionalist hanging around with a bunch of do gooder modern era hippies.

If you are so inclined, take a quick look at the CA website - these kids are doing good things.

Greener pastures, I'm sure. For all it's faults I still love this city, its home. There's alot good to say about Philly just can't think of anything off the top of my head.

Endorsed by both Hall AND Oates. What other restaurant can make that claim? Frankly though, those guys are pretty skinny. John Popper and J. Garcia endorsements would be more persuasive.

What? Not Geno's? And what about Pat's?

Guy Fieri likes Tony Boloney's, but Bobby Flay bows to Tony Likes.

So what is the best cheesesteak?

The next one, as long as the beer is cold and plentiful.

Pat's and Geno's are tourist traps. Just look at all the out of town plates you see there. The local scum that hangs around them make me never want to stop there.
